Contributions

Southern Eye Bank is a 501(c) (3) non-profit, publicly owned organization that appreciates your financial support. Your contribution is fully deductible within the standards of the IRS tax codes and guidelines.

Memorial contributions can be made to Southern Eye Bank in memory of a loved one. In instances such as this, simply call our administrative assistant and she will collect relevant information over the telephone about your gift. Our organization will send the donor a receipt for tax purposes. A memorial card
is sent to the deceased's family for each contribution received. Your donation may be made by check or money order.

Your gift will help individuals who are suffering from corneal blindness. Every dollar of your tax deductible contribution will be used to fund programs aimed at increasing donation

Eyewear contributions can be made by contacting our staff at 504-891-3937. We will be happy to accept your donation of gently worn prescription and non prescription eyewear. Our staff will pick them up from your business, organization or home or you are welcomed to drop them off at our office.

Our staff, in conjunction with the Jefferson parish Lions' Clubs, cleans, repairs and labels the prescription eyewear and distributes them to organizations such as the Red Cross, Homeless Shelters, and Ophthalmic Missionary Teams in order to assist those less fortunate.

Southern Eye Bank will be moving into a new building in late Spring. Please call our office prior to delivering the donation.
